Arkpol Poland is on the Move!
We are excited to announce that at the end of October, Arkpol Poland will be relocating to a new headquarters. Our current location, which
has served us well for many years, has become too small and no longer meets our growing needs.
As our company continues to expand, we require more warehouse space to store our clients’ belongings, as well as a larger office area to
accommodate our growing team. This move is a reflection of our ongoing development and the increasing demand for our services.
Our new headquarters will be located on the southern side of Warsaw, just a few kilometers from the S8 expressway, at Nowa Wieś, and only 15 minutes from Warsaw’s Frederic Chopin International Airport.
Prior to the move, we will send an official notice to all of our business partners, including details about the new address and any invoicing updates.
We look forward to welcoming you to our new location and continuing to provide top-quality services.

2024 Expat Insider Insights: Best and Worst Destinations for Expats
After reviewing the 2024 Expat Insider report, a few key takeaways stood out to me. Some results were expected, while others were surprising.
Panama taking the top spot as the best place for expats is well-deserved. With its combination of financial stability, ease of living, and overall happiness, it’s no wonder that 82% of expats report being satisfied with life there. For those seeking a peaceful, financially secure lifestyle—especially retirees—Panama seems to offer an ideal environment.
Mexico ranked second, and despite concerns about safety, the friendliness of the locals plays a huge role in expat happiness. The country offers a unique balance of rich culture and modern conveniences, making it a popular choice for expats seeking community and a fulfilling lifestyle.
A surprising shift was Indonesia leaping into third place. Despite challenges with healthcare and digital infrastructure, the low cost of living and excellent work-life balance seem to attract expats. It’s interesting how strong job satisfaction and affordable housing can outweigh other significant issues.
At the other end of the spectrum, Kuwait remained at the bottom of the list for the seventh time, largely due to dissatisfaction with the quality of life and work conditions. Turkey and Finland also scored poorly, with Finland’s sharp drop catching my attention. Typically known for its high quality of life, the decline in expat satisfaction there suggests that issues like settling in and career prospects weigh heavily on expat happiness.
It’s also worth noting that even traditionally popular destinations like the UK and the USA face real challenges in terms of expat satisfaction. High living costs, difficulties settling in, and limited personal finances are common concerns.
The takeaway? It’s clear that expat preferences are evolving. While professional opportunities are important, more expats are now prioritizing lower living costs, easier integration, and a welcoming environment.
Countries like Panama, Mexico, and Indonesia seem to meet these needs, while others still have room for improvement.
What are your thoughts on these rankings? Would love to hear your experiences and insights!

1 August – Warsaw Uprising National Remembrance Day
On 1 August 1944, the Warsaw Uprising began, the largest military operation by the underground resistance in German-occupied Europe. This monumental event is a testament to the Polish spirit and their relentless pursuit of freedom. The insurgents aimed to free Warsaw from German occupation and reestablish Polish authority before the Soviet forces arrived. Despite the dire circumstances, the residents of Warsaw, suffering under German oppression, chose to rise up and fight for their city’s liberation and their own freedom.
At 5 p.m. on 1 August 1944, known as ‘W’ Hour, the people of Warsaw took up arms against their occupiers. After 63 intense days of fighting, the uprising concluded, giving birth to a legend of resilience and bravery.
Today, as we commemorate the Warsaw Uprising National Remembrance Day, we honor the courage and sacrifice of the fighters and the citizens of Warsaw. At 5 p.m., the center of Warsaw will pause to remember that defining moment.
All residents and expats are encouraged to join and feel the profound significance of this tribute. Gather in the city center to honor the memory of Warsaw’s heroes and their enduring fight for freedom.
Let their legacy inspire us, as we stand together in solidarity and remembrance.
Well done Czech Republic!
As of July 1, Czechia is making it easier for skilled professionals from nine countries to join its vibrant workforce. The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs has announced that citizens of Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States can now work in Czechia without needing a work permit!
Key Highlights:
– No More Work Permits: Citizens of these countries can work in Czechia without needing a work permit, employee card, or blue card.
– Simple Authorization: Only authorization to stay in the country is required.
– Streamlined Process: Employers no longer need to notify the Labor Office of vacancies for these workers.
Important Note:
Residence Permits Still Required: Workers still need to apply for a residence permit if applicable. Check the Information Portal for Foreigners for details.
This policy aims to attract highly skilled workers, supporting the growth and dynamism of the Czech economy. Security considerations and economic partnerships played a significant role in selecting these countries.
Thoughts on the Broader Region: While Czechia is opening its doors to global talent, it’s worth considering the situation in neighboring countries like Poland. Will Poland follow suit and ease work permit restrictions for certain foreign nationals? If so, how might this affect the regional labor market and economic cooperation within Central Europe?
Why This Matters:
-Regional Competitiveness: Easier access to skilled workers can boost the competitiveness of the entire region.
-Economic Growth: Attracting global talent can drive innovation, productivity, and economic growth.
-Policy Trends: Monitoring changes in labor policies across neighboring countries can provide insights into broader regional trends.
Understanding the factors influencing employee mobility in 2024
As we’ve been deeply involved in managing and facilitating employee relocations, we’ve seen significant changes in the landscape. Here are some key insights I’ve gleaned from recent studies:
Understanding the factors influencing employee mobility in 2024
As we head into 2024, employee mobility is facing unprecedented challenges. Findings from Atlas World Group’s Corporate Relocation Survey and Worldwide ERC® U.S. Domestic Permanent Transfers: Volume & Cost Report reveal the key factors influencing relocations.
Economic and personal dynamics
The changing economic climate, characterised by inflation and fluctuating real estate prices, is having a significant impact on relocation decisions. Employees, particularly Generation X and Millennials, are juggling career changes, family obligations, work-life balance and financial commitments. Balancing childcare, elder care and domestic responsibilities is paramount when considering job opportunities.
Geopolitical influences
International conflicts, such as the current situation between Russiaand Ukraine, have far-reaching effects on global relocations. Security concerns and economic sanctions are contributing to a cautious attitude towards international relocations.
Rising costs
Relocation costs have skyrocketed, reaching record levels in 2022 and are expected to rise further. Home sale assistance remains the most expensive component, and shipping household goods also contributes significantly to the overall cost.
Strategic approaches
Faced with these challenges, companies need to take a strategic approach to relocating employees. Rising costs necessitate selective relocations that focus on essential or particularly important moves. Limited support may become the norm as companies try to balance costs and operational requirements.
These insights can help us better understand and manage the complexity of employee mobility in today’s dynamic environment.
